35 crores in cash found at home of Chiranjeevi's daughter(NDTV)

Hyderabad:  Cartons stuffed with Rs. 35 crore in cash were found at the Chennai residence of actor-politician Chiranjeevi's daughter, Sushmita.
 
The Income Tax department raided the house on  Friday and Saturday. Today, officials confirmed that "Cash was found neatly packed in 35 carton boxes with each containing R
s. 1 crore in denominations of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000." (See income tax department's press release)
 
The money has been handed over to the Reserve Bank of India today.
