Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu is trying all tricks to attract the voters, particularly youth, towards his party in a desperate bid to stage a come back to power in 2014 elections. Close on the heels of Praja Rajyam Party president K Chiranjeevi who had done horse riding to attract youth during the 2009 elections, Naidu has chosen to ride motorcycle on the roads to catch the attention of the people. On Thursday, Naidu did the bike riding from Gannavaram airport to the Convention Centre in Vijayawada and led the motor cycle rally of his party workers. Though people watched him curiously, there was not much response from the city youth, except the TDP cadres. He is addressing the party’s Yuva Tarangam programme in the city inviting youth into the party politics.

Why House Panel Ignoring Naidu Regime?
The constitution of House Committee to look into the land allotments made by the state government during Y S Rajasekhara Reddy regime is a clear indication that the Congress party, in collusion with the Telugu Desam Party, is trying to tarnish the image of YSR and harass his family members.
The government has not given any clarity on the terms of reference of the House Committee to probe into the land allotments and it has failed to mention that the time-frame for the probe also covers the Chandrababu Naidu regime.
“It is ridiculous to say that the terms of reference would be in tune with the debate that took place on land allotments on March 28 and 29, 2011 in the assembly. During the debate, the TDP talked only about the land allotments made during YSR regime. Now that the government has confined the probe only to the issues raised in the debate, it clearly shows the government’s malafide intentions,” YSR Congress party spokesperson Jupudi Prabhakar Rao said.
He demanded that the probe should be conducted with effect from 1995 till date. “Otherwise, it is presumed that government is on a witch-hunt targeting YSR, his family members and associates,” Jupudi said.
